A nice specimen from the Buchanan Ranch in south eastern Oregon. The Ranch was formaly closed for collecting in the past years. Since 2011 there is the possibility to collect for a short time each year (in summer 2012 it will be again). This old digged egg has a nice amethyst with blueish agate core and a nice light brownish matrix. T-eggs from this location vary extremly in matrix and core cause there've been digged about 8 different beds on the ranch.

I'm looking for some other different specimens also from the new diggings.

Another Buchanan thunderegg with typical level banding and an cloudy agate band surrounding the filling. This one is from one of the various sub-locations called "North Pit".

That t-egg is typical for it's site. It has a brownish aphanatic matrix and an opal filled level banding all throuhg the core. It's from the Secret Ridge aka. Harney Rim near the city of Burns. Nowadays it's closed for digging.

size: 82x55 mm

A nice flat double-egg filled with clusters of broken jasper and agate and nice crystal caves up right and down left. It's from the Pike Creek.
